Captain Jules Alexandre PERREY wearing a uniform of the 134th Infantry Regiment (note the machine gunner specialty insignia on an officer's uniform).

Captain PERREY, a draftsman by trade, was assigned to the 2nd Section of the General Staff of the 8th Military Region in the Staging and Services Department (DES) and then to the 2nd Army.

The photo appears to have been taken in his living quarters in Le Creusot, on Rue Dijon (now Rue Lamartine).

Appointed battalion commander, D.E.S. stage commander on July 15, 1915.
