Corporal and soldiers of the 134th Infantry Regiment, some of whom are soon completing their military service.
This photo features Paul Cousson. Recalled for mobilization, he joined the army with the 3rd Company of the 134th Infantry Regiment. He was transferred to the 6th Company of the 26th Infantry Regiment in May 1915 and then transferred to the 3rd Machine Gun Company of the 160th Infantry Regiment in April 1916. He was declared "died for France" on May 6, 1917, at Chemin des Dames (in the commune of Braye-en-Laonnois). His body could not be recovered, but Corporal Edmond Gaillard and Private André Gambey of the 3rd Infantry Regiment declared him dead. He now appears to be buried in the Tazilly municipal cemetery.
