"Bourges, December 16, 1915.
Dear brother,
Finally, my stay in Bourges is coming to a close because we're leaving tomorrow morning for Clénay. Our depot has changed location. It's no longer in Val Suzon. It's going to be a pain to leave Bourges because we were quite peaceful there, and we weren't afraid to leave, whereas at the depot, things won't be the same. The unfortunate thing is that time passes and we're still at the same level.
As for you, I think you're still as peaceful and still at the same post.
I'm thinking of going to see you next week, but you know, I'm not sure, and that's why I'm sending you this little photograph.
I'm still in good health, and I hope this one finds you the same.
Hello to my Lulu... as well as to my godson and nephew.
Your brother, shaking your hand.
