Photograph taken during a maneuver of the 134th Infantry Regiment.
Card written on the back by Jacques BRELIER (drummer on the right).
"Dearest girlfriend,
I'm taking a moment to write you this little card to show you that I'm still thinking of you.
I have to tell you that I'm not too happy about the maneuvers. Things aren't getting much better; I had my medical check-up and I'm marching without a pack. And the major told me I shouldn't continue doing my job, but oh well, I'll give it up. I'll find another one... I'll tell you about it when I get back.
You'll see I look sad in this card. I end with a kiss. I hope this card finds you in good health, better than ever before it leaves me.
Your friend,
Jacques Brelier, 134th, maneuvering in Mâcon"
