Dear Parents
I am replying to the letter I just received, which gave me great pleasure to learn that you are in good health and that Georges has recovered. As for me, I am also very well, and I hope this card finds you the same. In a few days, we will be breaking the leg at the last 100th. You will not send me any money before Pentecost, provided I have it by Pentecost; that will be soon enough. I am sending you this famous card which depicts the parade of the 134th. You can see that our uniform was not quite regulation. There is Segal on my left making faces, and the drummer who is all smeared with black paint. The others can be recognized: Gagnant on the left with his bugle and his heart, and Gaillard with his apron. And the measuring tape is still there.
I end by sending you all my love, your son, Albert Feignon"
