On the horse to the left is Captain Pierre Javogues (1868-1928), who commanded a company in the 115th Brigade, then the 7th Alpine Chasseurs Battalion (7th BCA), and later the 152nd Infantry Regiment. He finished the war as a battalion commander in the 99th Territorial Infantry Regiment (99th RIT).
