Emile Cottin (1897-1966), a young soldier called up to the 134th Infantry Regiment.
He joined the army, assigned to the 18th Company of the 334th Infantry Regiment on the Chemin des Dames in March 1917. He was wounded in the right leg (fracture) and taken prisoner on July 24, 1917, during the Battle of the California Plateau. He was repatriated on December 28, 1918.
During the Second World War, he was assigned to the 8th Section of Military Clerks and Workers of Administration (8th COA).
