Sergeant/Vizewachtmeister of the Königlich Bayerisches Chevaulegers-Regiment Nr. 8

The NCO dressed in the M1909 Feldgrau uniform, date unknown. His medal bar included the Bavarian Military Merit Cross, Iron Cross 2nd class, Prince Regent Luitpold Medal and a long service medal. The tunic for Bavarian Chevaulegers looks similar to the Uhlans, however it have Swedish cuffs (simplified in the picture), square shoulder straps and single piping in regimental colour around the hem. In this case the piping was white.
